New Orleans

A few weekends ago we traveled to New Orleans to hang out with Brent, Melanie, Jude, Grandpa, and Grammie.  We were a little worried about the 6 hour drive and how Carter would do in the car.  He actually did great, and since we left in the evening he slept most of the way there. We arrived late and so we pretty much went straight to bed once we got there.

On Saturday we ALL ventured out to Jazz Fest.  That's right ....Carter and Jude experienced their first Jazz Fest!  When we arrived we found some space under a tree and camped out there for the day.  We spent the day listening to good music, eating delicious food, and hanging out with each other.  That evening we ate some crawfish and sat around the table telling stories, laughing, and poking fun at each other.

Sunday we spent the day playing and watching the boys.  Jude still crawls circles around Carter but this time Carter was little more interactive with him.  Grammie even caught Carter taking Jude's pacifier out of his mouth.  That afternoon Melanie's parents came over for lunch.  After lunch Carter got to try out Jude's swing.  He loved it!  Looks like we're going to need to buy Carter a new swing (and find a place to hang it).  Since Carter did so well in the car we decided to leave Sunday evening so he would pass out and sleep.  It was a pretty quick weekend, but had a great time.
