Chicago Visitors

As mentioned in a previous post, February has been a busy month full of family coming to visit.  Our latest visitors were Auntie Erin and Tim.  We are so happy they decided to leave windy, snowy, cold Chicago for a few days and come down South to warm up.  While they were here we cooked some good food, played cards, and just had fun hanging out at the house.  The Friday they were here, Kurt took off of work and we all headed down to the Houston zoo.  The weather was perfect and we had a great time checking out the different animals.  Carter even seemed interested in the animals, especially when we were in the aquarium.  His little eyes got so big watching all the bright colorful fishes swimming around.  Aunt Erin even took Carter in an aquarium tunnel where he had a 3-D experience.  After the zoo we stopped at an outdoor sculpture park to look at some abstract art.  Then we returned home to rest and relax before our night out.  Our good friends, Christi and Jeff, agreed to watch Carter so that the four of us could go out for a grown-up dinner.  We went to an awesome restaurant called Reef.  The food and drinks were delicious - all kinds of fresh fish, oysters, and crab!  The next day Erin and Tim packed up their bags but didn't leave Texas without first getting some BBQ.  Thanks Erin and Tim for traveling down to see us!  We had such a great visit and appreciate you making the trip.  Can't wait to hang out with you again!

Below are some pictures from our trip to the zoo.

Thanks Aunt Erin!  You're the best.
