The Hoeman Family: Busy Boy!

The title pretty much describes Carter. He is one BUSY BOY! Since it's been warming up down here we have been spending a lot of time outdoors (especially before the summer heat hits us). Carter love love loves being outdoors! These days he will even bring us his shoes when he wants to go outside, or he throws a temper tantrum at one of the doors to show he really really wants to go out. We have also been spending a lot of time with friends either at playdates, parks, or parties. Carter still really prefers the older children over ones closer to his age, but nonetheless it's fun to get him together with his "friends". The pictures below are some of the things we've been up to the past month.

Recently we went to the zoo with our friend Eleanor. Carter really enjoyed looking and pointing at all the animals. At the zoo, there is a children's corner where they can pet little goats, play on playgrounds, and walk through different fort like structures. The zoo also has a huge Carousel that Carter rode for the first time. When we first got on it he wanted nothing to do with animals, however once the music started and the carousel started moving he was ready to climb on his animal, a caterpillar.

Below are some pictures of Carter playing outside. One afternoon it was pretty warm out and Kurt had decided to wash his truck. We decided to break out Carter's new water table to try to keep him occupied while Kurt and I did our outdoor chores. Well it worked! He played with it easily for an hour. He loved splashing his hands in the water and also transferring water from the table to buckets. Unfortunately we haven't put water in it since that first time, but every time we go outside he goes straight to the table to play with the balls. I have a feeling we'll have plenty of warm/hot days for him to splash and play in it again.

Indoor Fun - The first three pictures were taken at an indoor playground with his friend Eleanor. Unfortunately, I didn't get any of the two of them playing or bouncing in the playground. Here they are taking a breather withe the "baby toys". Carter loved the orange truck at this place. He is really into wheels, cars, trucks, etc. He'll take his cars and just push them along the floor, chairs, and tables. The pictures following are from a birthday party at "The Little Gym". Carter loved "balancing", jumping, and bouncing around the gym equipment. He also enjoyed himself a cupcake. (Finally!)
